Just a quick note. We are in Sakata City right now. We practiced our dance this afternoon. Aftere a quick supper we will hit the streets to show our stuff. Wish us luck. It helps that Miss Allie is a dancer!! Sorry for the lack of pictures. Hopefully I can add them tomorrow. Will fill you all in on our day later tonight.

Good luck! A word of caution, though, Ms. Schichilone: when Abbie dances, watch that she doesn't slip into her Hannah Montana imitation! Or is it Miley Cyrus?
ReplyDeleteHave a great time!

I don't know why, but I just thought of that song 'Safety Dance' by Men without Hats....got that tune stuck in my head while thinking of you guys dancing....remember it? Goes sort of like this...'we can dance, we can dance, everythings out of control....we can dance, we can dance, everybody's takin a chance...' seems sort of fitting! But, I know you will guys be awesome and have tons of fun in the process. Thanks for the update Mrs. Schic!

Come on guys, make us proud....how bout Madonna...you can dance...get into the groove!
ReplyDeleteYou'll do great!
Just follow what the group ahead of you does! Everyone will be so happy to see you in the parade that it doesn't matter if you mess up a bit.
ReplyDeleteWhere's Abdu when you need him? Now, THAT'S some high energy dancing! Hope all went well with the parade -- would LOVE to see some action video of it, although I know that may be asking a bit too much, technically speaking... Stills would be great as well. Main thing is that you are having FUN with it!!!
ReplyDeleteTwenty years ago I was in Greece for a summer and I had to wait two weeks for letters to arrive from home. Not anymore!!!
ReplyDeleteThis blog is the best thing to come along since frozen sushi. If you are going to send a 14 year daughter half the way around the world it's a good thing to know "all is right with the world".
Karen THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
Also, no matter what you do DON"T give Abbie a microphone!
Disney had it right...It is a small small world (after all). Who knew?
Love, The "Mom"ster
Good god, why would Abbir need a microphone for anything!!! Liz, we followed the womens vollyball team in front of us and kept right up. Many were old enough to be MY mother!
